1. Purpose

PULP Canada works with vendors and suppliers who align with our commitment to:

  • Responsibility
  • Sustainability
  • Ethical business practices

This Code outlines expectations for all partners.

2. Legal and Regulatory Compliance

Suppliers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to:

  • Data protection and cybersecurity
  • Environmental standards
  • Employment and labor laws

3. Information Security Expectations

Suppliers that handle or access PULP data or systems must:

  • Protect information appropriately
  • Prevent unauthorized access
  • Report suspected security incidents promptly

Security is a shared responsibility across the ecosystem.

4. Ethical Conduct

Suppliers must:

  • Act with honesty and integrity
  • Avoid conflicts of interest
  • Not engage in bribery or corruption
  • Conduct business fairly and transparently

5. Environmental Responsibility & EPR Alignment

PULP expects suppliers to align with responsible environmental practices, including:

  • Support for recycling and material recovery
  • Waste reduction initiatives
  • Responsible handling of materials and assets
  • Alignment with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) principles where applicable

Suppliers should demonstrate commitment to sustainable operations and continuous improvement.

6. Labour and Human Rights

Suppliers must:

  • Prohibit forced labour and human trafficking
  • Comply with fair labour practices
  • Ensure safe working conditions
  • Respect human rights

7. Supply Chain Responsibility

Suppliers are responsible for ensuring their own vendors meet similar standards.

8. Monitoring and Compliance

PULP may request evidence of compliance with this Code and reserves the right to review or audit supplier practices where necessary.

9. Non-Compliance

Failure to meet these standards may result in:

  • Review of relationship
  • Corrective action requirements
  • Termination of engagement
