PULP Cares

Community Investment & Impact

Rooted Here. Responsible by Choice.

PULP was built in Calgary, and we’ve grown alongside the people and communities here. From the beginning, we’ve believed that operating responsibly means more than delivering good services — it means showing up where we live, work, and build relationships.

PULP Cares is how we give back with intention. Not as a campaign. Not as a checkbox. But as a long term commitment to community wellbeing, connection, and accountability.

We don’t believe community impact needs to be loud to be real. It just needs to be consistent, respectful, and rooted in care.

Why PULP Cares Exists

Strong communities don’t appear by accident. They’re built through trust, presence, and people willing to invest time, care, and resources — even when there’s no spotlight.

As a business, we benefit from our community every day:

  • from local talent
  • from partnerships
  • from trust earned over time

PULP Cares exists because we believe responsibility flows both ways.

If we want sustainable outcomes — in business or in life — we have to contribute to the foundations that make them possible.

How We
Think About Impact

For us, community impact isn’t about scale alone. It’s about relevance.

We focus on:

  • local needs rather than distant causes
  • ongoing relationships rather than one off donations
  • transparency over performative gestures

Real impact often happens quietly. And it grows best when it’s rooted in listening.

PULP Cares Calgary

Our Focus Areas

PULP Cares supports a range of initiatives that reflect both community needs and the values we operate by.

Mental Health Support & Awareness

We support programs and initiatives that reduce stigma, increase access to resources, and encourage more open conversations around mental health. Shred the Stigma® is one expression of this commitment — creating approachable, community based spaces for connection and support.

Community Cleanups
& Environmental Stewardship

Caring for people also means caring for the spaces we share. We support community cleanups and environmental initiatives that improve local environments & encourage collective responsibility.

PULP Shred-A-Thon®

Our annual Shred-A-Thons bring people together around a simple, practical need — secure document destruction — while directing proceeds toward local causes and nonprofits. They allow organizations, individuals, and communities to participate in something useful while contributing to something meaningful.

Partnerships with Local
Nonprofits & Organizations

We prioritize partnerships with organizations doing meaningful work on the ground — especially those rooted in Calgary and Southern Alberta. Rather than spreading support thin, we focus on building genuine relationships where our involvement is helpful, respectful, and aligned with real needs.

Causes We’ve Supported

Each partnership reflects a shared belief: that long term impact comes from collaboration, not control.

Transparency & Accountability

PULP Cares is committed to transparency. We believe communities deserve to know:

  • where support is directed
  • how funds are used
  • what outcomes are being pursued

We don’t overstate impact. We share what we do, what we’re learning, and where we continue to grow.

Shred the Stigma & PULP Cares

Shred the Stigma® sits within PULP Cares as one focused initiative — shaped by lived experience and community need. PULP Cares provides the wider platform that allows us to support multiple causes, respond to emerging needs, and invest responsibly over time. Together, they reflect the same belief: that business can participate in community life without owning it.

Do You Have a Cause or Idea?

Some of the most meaningful projects start with a conversation. If you’re connected to a local cause, community group, or organization — or if you have an idea for a fundraising or volunteer initiative — we’d genuinely like to hear from you. Not every idea will be a fit. But every conversation matters.
